Thursday features moderate to locally heavy rain in the immediate Great Lakes, and dry conditions elsewhere in the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairies crop regions. Intense heat is also in store from the central Plains to central and southern Midwest and the Delta. This combination will stress row crops in at least half the Corn Belt.
